I have upgraded the CSound on my Mac from CSound 5.1.2. I have downloaded the Csound 5.1.5 installer and after the installation I have tried to launch CSoundQT but get an error message:
CSoundQT cannot be opened because of a problem:
Check with the developer to make sure CsoundQT works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for this application and Mac OS X
I have tried reinstalling, and I have made sure I have downloaded the correct CSound 5.1.5 10.6 installer. When I report the problem to Apple this is the following error message I get:

This seems to be a problem with csoundqt (qutecsound). Try downloading another qutecsound from the qutecsound downloads page and see if that works better. No need to reinstall csound, that bit is Ok.

Hi,
Where did you get your version of CsoundQt from? Is it the one bundled with the installer, or is it from the CsoundQt downloads page? It's quite an unusual error message, as the missing files should be there... Cheers, Andrés On Tue, Feb 7, 2012 at 9:14 PM, Victor <[hidden email]> wrote:

Sorry guys I found out what the error was.
I was running the CSound 5.15 installer, but I wasn't replacing the new CSoundQT in my Applications folder. All is working fine now.
