Github

Steven Yi
Hi All,

This is just FYI, but I am planning on moving Blue's sourcecode and issue tracking to Github.  I think the sourcecode will be easy enough to migrate, but I am not sure about issues. I think that using Github's site is better suited for Git management and tracking, and I think it should be easier for others to make contributions.  My plan is to maintain the blue mailing lists on Sourceforge as well as file releases, though I may explore file releases too on Github.

If anyone has any opinions on this please let me know here.  I'm planning to look at trying to move the git repo tomorrow and experiment a bit with it before fully committing to Github.

Thanks!
steven

Re: Github

Steven Yi
Hi All,

I've imported the git repository from Sourceforge to Github:

https://github.com/kunstmusik/blue

I am looking at using this project next to migrate issues:

https://github.com/ttencate/sf2github

If anyone has done a migration from sf to github, I'd welcome any advice.

Thanks!
steven
