[Csnd] hrtfearly - location/position coordinates fixed at which origin

Jeanette C.
Hey hey,
where is the origin for the coordinate system of the positions inside the
space with hrtfearly, for the x, y and z coordinates for the listener and the
source.

Additional perhaps: what is the possible range for the gain values, assuming
that 0dbfs is set to 1. 0 to 1 or can it go negative as well?

Best wishes and thanks,

Jeanette

Hi Jeanette,

From Brian Carty's Multibin app, it seems that hrtfearly has its origin
at the bottom left side of the room.

Regarding one of the questions from your previous email, I believe you
can only change yaw with hrtfearly. But there's an interesting project
called Resonance for the web by Google
(https://developers.google.com/resonance-audio/develop/web/getting-started)
that let you specify orientation for listener and source using
quaternions. Maybe pairing that with Hlöðver Sigurðsson's csound-wasm?

Cheers.

Thanks a lot, this is just what I need.

It seems a good project, but with my system, alas, unachievable. Thanks
anyway, perhaps there are other benefits to be gained from these
developments. It's good to be kept abreast.
...

Best wishes,m
