[Csnd] OT: Academic job in Bath

It is still not too late for applications for a Readership in CS at
Bath.  In reality the requirement is many good papers and a profile
that will look good on the Research Assessment Exercise (*).  Fitting one
of the existing areas would help (Math/Logic, HCI, Graphics and Media,
those of us who actually write programs).  The closing date is Monday
-- applications can be electronic, and in the past applications a day
or so late have been considered.

A Reader is more-or-less equivalent to the Associate/Full Professor
boundary in US system, and implies a research profile with
international recognition.  Salary is on standard UK scale, in the
range £37,558 to £42,573 (pa).

If you do not know about the RAE then you may already be at a disadvantage!

Applications for a Readership in CS at Bath?  Does that stand for
Computer Science or Csound?  :-)

Unfortunately Computer Science.  If it were is an interesting subject
I would have approached a number of people directly by now!
