[Csnd] CsoundQt crash in the latest version 6.09.2

Marc Demers-2
Hi,

I got the same problem as with the first release of Csound 6.09.1, CsoundQt cannot open. I get an error message telling that there is a missing Qt5 library. I use an Asus laptop (Core i7) with Windows 10.

BTW thank for this new release and especially the one by Michael Gogins with the VST. I use Csound inside Cubase.

Thanks. I will add that to the installer and post a new release. There
may be others. I missed this because on my computer, it comes with
Anaconda which is what I use for my Python distribution.

Re: [Csnd] CsoundQt crash in the latest version 6.09.2

Marc Demers-2

The missing dll on the previous release )6.09.1) were :

liblzma-5.dll

QT5MULTIMEDIA.DLL

QT5MUTLIMEDIAWIDGETS.DLL

QT5OPENGL.DLL

Which is not the case here.

BTW are you still using Python 2.7 or the latest 3.x ?

Re: [Csnd] CsoundQt crash in the latest version 6.09.2

Hi Mike,

I’ve just tried CsoundQt in command line and I get the same message that Windows has to close the program because an internal error has occured…  But I’ve noticed that in your bin folder the CsoundQt exe is : CsoundQt-d-html-cs6 and the exe file in the CsoundQt from Github is CsoundQt-d-cs6…

Regards,

Marc

Can you run Csound on the command line, and can you see the error in the windows event log?

Re: [Csnd] CsoundQt crash in the latest version 6.09.2

Tarmo Johannes-3
Hi,

I can confirm the crash on Windows (7) of CsoundQt at startup from the Csound-6.09.2 installer.

Michael, seems that the installer misses QtWebEngineProcess.exe required for QtWebEngine?

Marc (and others) -  can you try so far the test build from:
https://github.com/CsoundQt/CsoundQt/releases/tag/0.9.5-beta

- unzip it and run CsoundQt-d-html-cs6.exe from there (it lacks rtmidi support but good to know if it works for you).

greetings,
tarmo

Tarmo Johannes-3
Hi Marc,

I think Michael has not maybe uploaded the new version yet, it will be there
soon.

If you have time, for my interest, can you try if this one here forks for you
(unzip and run CsoundQt from there:)
https://github.com/CsoundQt/CsoundQt/releases/download/0.9.5-beta/
CsoundQt-0.9.5-beta-html-win64.zip
